I hold a Master’s degree in Music and have over 25 years of teaching experience. I have worked with hundreds (maybe thousands) of students of all ages and abilities over the years — ranging from complete beginners strumming their very first chord to advanced players preparing for professional performances
Outside the teaching, I’ve built an extensive live career, touring across the UK and Europe. Bringing that real-world experience into my lessons helps me show students not just how to play the guitar technically, but how to put it into context — whether that means learning your favourite songs, building confidence, or developing the technical skills to perform.
Lessons are relaxed, supportive, and always tailored to your goals. Whether you want to pick up the guitar for the very first time, return to it after a break, or take your playing to the next level, I’ll help you make music a rewarding part of your life.
Your Questions, Answered
Can lessons be adapted to my busy schedule?
Absolutely. We’ll agree on a rhythm that works for you — weekly or bi-weekly is ideal, but I can be flexible to fit your availability and goals. Having taught at university level, I understand how to structure lessons effectively around busy lives.
Do I need prior experience to start?
Not at all. Whether you’re brand-new to guitar or looking to refine advanced techniques, I’ll create a personalised plan based on your current level. With a Master’s in Music and over 25 years of teaching, I’m experienced in guiding students of all abilities.
How does billing work?
Lessons are £40 per hour (your first one is half price). After that, lessons are paid for in blocks of 4 in advance. If you ever need to cancel, just give me notice — short-notice cancellations may still be chargeable.
